Who are you?
Every participant takes a paper from the hat so that they
all get a number. Then the facilitator hands out a paper
and pen. Before starting the activity all have to turn their
chairs so that they are not facing the group but the walls.
Participants are asked to write the number they got and
then to answer all the questions.
The questions are:
1. What are you good at?
2. Describe one feature of your character you like very
much.
3. What do other people like about you?
4. What are you good at in school/work?
5. What do you stand up for?
While answering the questions you can put on some quite
music. When all participants are ready the facilitator
collects all answers in his/her hat. Then participants are
asked to return back to the circle. In a second round
participants take one of the written papers from the hat.
They are asked to read it and to find out who that person
is. The guesses should be written on another paper and
one by one they read the answers and share their
guess with the group (showing the paper and putting
it in front of oneself). This round is followed by another
round where the participants reveal if the guess was
correct or not.
- How was it to answer the questions? What did you
think?
- Have you been honest with yourself? Was that
difficult/easy?
- How often do we think about our good / strong sides
in daily life?
- What did you learn from this exercise?
For a successful implementation of this method it is
important that the group should know each other a bit.
