Show the Running-Configuration for an Interface
View the configuration for any interface with the following command.
Command Syntax Command Mode Purpose
show running-config
interface type {slot/port}
Figure 265 illustrates the show running-config command output. Note the IPv6 address listed.

EXEC Show the currently running configuration for the
specified interface
Enter the keyword interface followed by the
type of interface and slot/port information:
• For a 10/100/1000 Ethernet interface, enter
the keyword GigabitEthernet followed by
the slot/port information.
• For a Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the
keyword GigabitEthernet followed by the
slot/port information.
• For the Management interface on the RPM,
enter the keyword ManagementEthernet
followed by the slot/port information.
• For a 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter
the keyword TenGigabitEthernet followed
by the slot/port information.
