HRO’s experience is that successful developments can only be achieved<br />
by devoting time, effort and money re-analysing each former generation<br />
of building and projecting future tenant requirements. HRO is an innovator<br />
among developers, constantly improving and redefi ning state-of-the-art offi ce<br />
developments that prove to be the consistent choice of world-class tenants and<br />
investors alike.<br />
In the 1960’s and 1970’s, HRO developed 23 offi ces, retail and residential<br />
projects across 5 European countries. It then exported its experience to the<br />
United States in 1980 where it established itself as the most active and<br />
successful developer in the world’s most competitive real estate market- New<br />
York City. During the following decade the fi rm developed or renovated 11 offi ce<br />
buildings, totalling over 500,000 m2.<br />
Its experience in delivering high quality, adaptable and yet cost effi cient offi ces<br />
for the most technologically demanding tenants in New York was brought back to<br />
Europe in the late 1990’s and has so far been applied to 16 projects, totalling<br />
over 400,000 m2 in Paris, London and Frankfurt.<br />
With four projects in Paris, one in Frankfurt, one in London and an expanded<br />
New York offi ce, HRO continues to look for new opportunities across the main<br />
offi ce centres in Europe.<br />
HRO is once again poised to take on new projects in the New York Metropolitan<br />
areas and select other US cities, in conjunction with The Baupost Group, LLC,<br />
its partner on the 16 European projects.<br />
In addition, HRO Asset Management LLC has been appointed as the exclusive<br />
North American advisor to HausInvest <strong>Global</strong> Fund, a newly formed German<br />
open-end fund, who will be acquiring quality offi ce, retail, hotel and industrial<br />
properties in prime North American cities.<br />
