Jürgen Herre is senior offi cer of Hines Europe responsible<br />

for fi nancing of major projects in Europe, dispositions and<br />

in conceptualising new funds and the subsequent money<br />

raising for those funds. He has 20 years experience in the<br />

International <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> business, both in Europe and<br />

the U.S.<br />

As Head of European Research at Property & Portfolio<br />

Research, Peter Hobbs PhD MRICS, advises investors on<br />

prospects for European real estate. He is responsible for the<br />

firm’s global coverage and advises on investment strategies<br />

across Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Peter divides his time<br />

equally between the U.S. and Europe. He is a member of the<br />

RICS, a European Council member of ULI, a member of the<br />

IREL Editorial Board and Visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent<br />

Jon Hodnett has been based in JER Partners’ London offi ce<br />

for the last fi ve years where he shares responsibility for JER’s<br />

acquisition and asset management activities on continental<br />

Europe. Before moving to the London offi ce Jon was based in<br />

Asia where he represented JER in Thailand, South Korea and<br />

Japan. In Thailand he was the Managing Director of the JER<br />

Thailand Property Fund, a tax-exempt vehicle for the acquisition<br />

of real estate and loan portfolios.<br />

Tony Horrell is an International Director and European Board<br />

member of Jones Lang LaSalle with over 22 years industry<br />

experience. He leads a team of over 220 capital markets<br />

professionals based in 17 countries across Europe with over<br />

Euro 14 billion of sales, acquisition and corporate fi nance<br />

transactions a year, over half of them cross-border. Previous<br />

experience was in the City of London offi ce market. He holds<br />

a BSc from the University of Portsmouth and an MBA from the<br />

University of Buckingham.<br />

Katie Hostalier is Head of Structured Finance Research at<br />

Commerzbank Securities in London. Prior to entering research<br />

in September 2002, Katie was part of the Securitisation<br />

Group at Société Générale for two and a half years, supporting<br />

the origination, structuring and distribution of ABS and MBS<br />

transactions mainly out of Spain, Portugal, Italy and the<br />

UK. Before SG, Katie gained an insight into the Asia-Pacific<br />

securitisation market while working at Tokyo-Mitsubishi<br />

International. She holds a BSc in International Business from<br />

Aston University in Birmingham and a Masters in Management<br />

from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Grenoble, France.<br />

ANNI HÖNICKE started her professional career in banking in<br />

the beginning of the 80’s and was engaged in commercial<br />

property fi nancing in the UK and Continental Europe since<br />

the mid-80’s. For Eurohypo, respectively Rheinhyp as one of<br />

Eurohypo’s predecessor’s she opened offi ces in Amsterdam,<br />

London, Paris, Stockholm, Brussels and most recently<br />

Copenhagen. Over the last two decades she was responsible<br />

for the origination and execution of transactions of a volume in<br />

excess of €20 bn which the bank had underwritten at one time<br />

or another. As Head of Corporate Banking Continental Europe<br />

at Eurohypo she is involved in all major property transactions<br />

occurring in Northern and Western Europe.<br />

Steven Ivankovich, Executive VP of Alliance Holdings, LLC, one<br />

of the largest owners and operators of multi family apartments<br />

in the US, has been in the real estate business for over 10<br />

years. He has been involved in the assembly of apartment<br />

portfolios totaling over 70,000 units, and over US$3.5 billion<br />

of transaction value. He oversees daily the fi rm’s acquisition,<br />

management and construction operations. Mr. Ivankovich is an<br />

honors graduate of the University of Chicago.<br />

Nick Jacobson is a Managing Director, responsible for<br />

Deutsche Bank’s <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Investment Banking activities in<br />

Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Nick was a<br />

Managing Director at JP Morgan responsible for European <strong>Real</strong><br />

<strong>Estate</strong> Investment Banking and has advised on numerous high<br />

profile M&A and capital market transactions. Nick has Bachelor<br />

of Commerce and Bachelor of Law degrees and has provided<br />

<strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Investment Banking services to leading companies<br />

in Australia, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Germany, UK,<br />

Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
