Jean-Paul Jeanrenaud holds a Master’s degree in Forestry<br />
and Land Management from Oxford University, a Bachelor’s<br />
degree in Development Studies from the University of East<br />
Anglia. He is currently Head of Business and Industry Relations<br />
at WWF International. He has been involved in developing a<br />
range of partnerships including with Lafarge, ABB, Assidöman,<br />
and HSBC. Jean-Paul joined WWF UK in 1990 as joint Head<br />
of the Forest Programme moving to WWF International<br />
secretariat, Switzerland in 1994 as Head of the Forests for Life<br />
Programme. Before joining WWF he worked for ten years in Asia<br />
and Africa as a project manager, forester and researcher for a<br />
number of aid and development organizations<br />
Gareth Jones moved to Warsaw In 1999 to join the Jones<br />
Lang LaSalle CEE Capital Markets Group. At the beginning of<br />
2002 Gareth assumed a leadership role for Capital Markets in<br />
Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary<br />
and Russia). The Capital Markets Group incorporates 13<br />
dedicated professionals based in the region, with two London<br />
based retail investment specialists who spend the majority of<br />
their time in the region. Over a three year period this team has<br />
closed over €1.8 billion transactions in the region.<br />

Born in 1961, Gilberto Jordan graduated in Economics<br />
(Technical University, Lisbon), with prior academic experience<br />
in several countries. Starting in 1984, in the Quinta do Lago<br />
resort development in the Algarve. He moved to the fi nancial<br />
sector in 1990 (BCP). From 1996, as Board Director, in the<br />
development companies of Vilamoura, a 1700 hectare resort<br />
in the Algarve and of the 500 hectare Belas Country Club,<br />
residential development in Lisbon; he is also a non-executive<br />
Director in other companies, associations and foundations.<br />
J.D. Freiburg University, Germany; 1979 Master of Law at<br />
Columbia University, N.Y. Subsequent admissions to practice<br />
law in N.Y. and Frankfurt. Previously partner of King &<br />
Spalding. Specialized in international taxation, property and<br />
corporate law. Joined TMW Group (Munich-Atlanta) in advisory<br />
capacity in 1997. Help build a European asset management<br />
operation and assemble Euro 1.8 billion property portfolio in<br />
France, Italy, England and Spain. Mr. Kageneck has 18 years of<br />
property experience in the U.S., Germany, France, Italy, Austria<br />
and Switzerland. Author of Encyclopedia on Comparative<br />
Property and Tax Laws, published by Beck Verlag. Entirely fl uent<br />

Martin Kandrac is a Vice President in the <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> group<br />
based in London. Since joining Blackstone in 2001, Mr.<br />
Kandrac has primarily been involved in hotel acquisitions<br />
throughout Europe. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Kandrac<br />
worked at Goldman Sachs in the real estate principal<br />
investment group in its New York, London, and Hong Kong<br />
offi ces. Mr. Kandrac received a BS in Hotel Administration from<br />
Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.<br />
Mr. Kaplan is a Managing Principal and Co-Chairman of the<br />
Investment Committee of Westbrook Partners, LLC. Westbrook<br />
is the sponsor of fi ve funds with equity capital of over $4.5<br />
billion and real estate investments with an aggregate purchase<br />
price in excess of $15 billion. Mr. Kaplan initially joined<br />
Westbrook’s New York offi ce upon its inception in April 1994.<br />
Prior to joining Westbrook, Mr. Kaplan was the Director of<br />
Acquisitions for the Morgan Stanley <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Fund, L.P.<br />

Peter Kasch transferred to the London offi ce of<br />
Kennedy-Wilson International from Boston in 1993 to<br />
oversee the investment of American funds into real estate in<br />
Europe. He was subsequently a partner in Greenwich Group<br />
International before co-founding Catalyst Capital. Prior to 1993<br />
Mr Kasch was a principal of a property advisory company in<br />
the US. He began his career as a construction manager for<br />
a Boston general contractor and a project manager for real<br />
estate development.<br />
Jonathan Kern is GE <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>’s <strong>Global</strong> Chief Investment<br />
Offi cer. Jonathan provides overall strategic direction for<br />
the business, especially in penetrating new markets and in<br />
formulating asset class strategies. Jonathan spent ten years<br />
at J. E. Robert Company, the last six as President and Chief<br />
Investment Offi cer. He graduated cum laude from Harvard<br />
University with a BA in Economics and received an MBA with<br />
distinction from The Wharton School.
