Stéphane Theuriau is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley’s<br />

<strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Investment Banking Group based in London.<br />

Stéphane joined Morgan Stanley in 1998. He previously<br />

worked at DTZ France, Auguste Thouard and Goldman Sachs.<br />

He currently runs the <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Private Equity Group in<br />

Europe. Morgan Stanley owns over Euro 10bn of Assets in 6<br />

European Countries through it’s various proprietary Funds. He<br />

is a graduate from the EM Lyon, France.<br />

Jonathan Thompson is a partner in KPMG’s London offi ce.<br />

He heads up their International <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>, Building and<br />

Construction practice of some 2000 professionals providing<br />

audit, tax and advisory services to clients in over 44 countries.<br />

François joined GE <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> in 1996 for the opening of the<br />

France offi ce. He went on to head up the European acquisition<br />

team, before becoming the European e-business and 6 Sigma<br />

leader for GE <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>. In 2001, François became the<br />

European risk leader and senior investment offi cer for Europe.<br />

In 2003, François was promoted to Managing Director France<br />

with the responsibility for the overall French business of GE<br />

<strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>. Prior to joining GE, François worked for Goldman<br />

Sachs in London and Tishman Speyer Properties in New York<br />

and Berlin. He graduated from Ecole Superieure de Commerce<br />

de Paris and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.<br />

Antonio Trueba has a Ph.D. in Physics and has studied<br />

extensively in Spain, France and the U.S. His experience in<br />

the real estate sector dates back to the early seventies, when<br />

he held posts in the Bank of Granada and the Explosivos<br />

Rio Tinto Group. He has also launched various World Trade<br />

Centers and has been Chairman of the World Trade Centers<br />

Association. In 1994, he was appointed Executive Chairman of<br />

Inmobiliaria Urbis, the real estate corporation of the Banesto<br />

Banking Group.<br />

Charles has extensive Eastern European experience in real<br />

estate, mergers and acquisitions, telecommunications<br />

and corporate fi nance matters and has lived and worked<br />

in Romania, Slovakia, Moldova and Saudi Arabia. He has<br />

represented a variety of clients, including major retail, hotel,<br />

banking and telecommunication companies, in property<br />

development projects as well as representing clients in state<br />

institutions during privatizations. Currently, Charles is the<br />

managing attorney of David & Associates, Ernst & Young’s<br />

associated law fi rm in Romania.<br />

Edward Vinson is Executive Vice President, International<br />

Development at The Mills Corporation (NYSE: MLS), the<br />

nation’s leading developer and operator of super-regional<br />

retail and entertainment venues. Mr. Vinson joined the<br />

company in September 1995. He directs the company’s<br />

international development activities pertaining to the projects<br />

located throughout Europe. Mr. Vinson graduated from The<br />

Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, PA and has a BA from<br />

the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. He attended<br />

Hofstra University School of Law, Hempstead, NY, receiving<br />

his JD in 1978.<br />

Alexander Vogt is Partner and Head of the German Investment<br />

Management practice at Linklaters, based in Frankfurt. Having<br />

lived and worked in Australia, England and Germany, he is a<br />

native speaker of both German and English and also a qualifi ed<br />

lawyer in Australia, England and Germany. During more than 10<br />

years of private practice he has gained extensive experience,<br />

focussing during the last 7 years on structuring and realising<br />

investment funds and joint ventures investing in real estate,<br />

private equity and a variety of other assets, typically in crossborder<br />

Robert Waterland, FRICS, has been involved in European<br />

commercial property investment for over 30 years initially<br />

as an advisor (Jones L.ang Wootton 1971-1995) and more<br />

recently as an asset manager and principal. In 2003 his<br />

company, Awon Group, acquired a listed dormant company : La<br />

Société de la Tour Eiffel with a view to transforming it into the<br />

first new property company to be quoted on the French Bourse<br />

for over a generation opting for the new S.I.I.C. fi scal status.
