Nigel Roberts is a European Director at Jones Lang LaSalle,<br />

responsible for the development and coordination of Jones<br />

Lang LaSalle’s research programmes across Europe. These<br />

include database development, monitoring economic and<br />

real estate change and analysing the factors driving market<br />

prospects. He manages an extensive publications and<br />

presentations programme, reporting on the research outputs,<br />

as well as undertaking business development and consulting<br />

work throughout Europe.<br />

Howard P. Ronson is the International Chairman of the<br />

HRO Group, one of the leading privately held international<br />

commercial real estate development fi rms. Founded in 1969,<br />

the fi rm has been a major force in both the European and<br />

American commercial real estate markets, having developed<br />

over 1,200,000m2 of prime offi ce property in 50 separate<br />

projects. Ronson’s insistence on extraordinary effort and<br />

meticulous service has resulted in the fi rm being held in high<br />

regard by design and construction professionals, tenants,<br />

Phillip Rose joined ABN AMRO in 2001 as European Head of<br />

<strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>. He was previously COO of TrizecHahn Europe.<br />

Prior to joining TrizecHahn, Phillip was Managing Director<br />

of Lend Lease <strong>Global</strong> Investment. Phillip has over 20 years<br />

experience in the investment banking, real estate and<br />

securities businesses in Europe, the United States and<br />

Australia. He holds a Masters degree in Law from Cambridge<br />

University, England and Finance diplomas from the Securities<br />

<strong>Institute</strong>s of England and Australia and is a non-executive<br />

director of Hermes Property Unit Trust.<br />

Stephen Roth, Chairman Emeritus, Secured Capital Corp,<br />

Director STAM Europe, Director Secured Capital Japan. Mr.<br />

Roth co-founded Secured Capital Corp in 1990, after 10<br />

years on the mortgage trading desks on Wall Street. In 1997,<br />

Mr. Roth co-founded two internationally based real estate<br />

investment and asset management companies: STAM Europe,<br />

in Paris, and Secured Capital Japan, in Tokyo. Mr. Roth recently<br />

formed a real estate investment management company<br />

to invest in real estate in China. Mr. Roth is a Founding<br />

Member and Chairperson of International Finance for Harvard<br />

University’s <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Academic Initiative, and a Founding<br />

Member of the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association.<br />

Charles Ruggieri is currently President of the supervisory<br />

board of Foncière des Régions (the 8th French listed property<br />

company in terms of market capitalisation) and manages its<br />

development. As <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Manager of Usinor Sacilor, he<br />

managed the outsourcing of the company’s real estate in the<br />

late 80’s. Through his 30 years career in real estate he has<br />

overseen the development of Batigère -social housing- and<br />

managed Immobilière Batibail, which merged with Gécina in<br />

1999.<br />

Andreas Schiller, is publisher of the German specialized<br />

magazine IMMOBILIEN MANAGER, and is one of the two<br />

chief editors of the yearbook EUROPE REAL ESTATE. Andreas<br />

studied German literature and Philosophy at Wuppertal and<br />

Cologne universities. A BMW-scholarship took him to Australia.<br />

From 1993 to 1996 Andreas worked as freelance journalist<br />

specializing in real estate themes for IMMOBILIEN MANAGER,<br />

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung F.A.Z., and Yearbook for<br />

Capital Investments. In 2003 he received the German Award<br />

for <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Journalism from the Scientific Society for<br />

the Encouragement of <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Journalism. He is also a<br />

member of the German committee of the Urban Land <strong>Institute</strong><br />

Anthony Shayle is the Managing Director of Investment<br />

Management at IXIS AEW Europe. In his role Mr Shayle<br />

oversees and manages the investment management process<br />

from acquisition to asset management. Mr Shayle has over<br />

sixteen years of property investment management experience,<br />

gained in both investment banking and property advisory fields.<br />

Mr Shayle is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certifi ed<br />

Accountants and has a BA (Hons) in Accountancy from London<br />

Guildhall University.<br />

Noel Simpson, Consultant to HRO, advises the Group with<br />

regard to its operations in France. Mr. Simpson has been<br />

involved in various capacities with the Group’s activities for<br />

some 40 years and his experience of property development<br />

extends to the USA and to the principal European countries.<br />

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
