Since its inception in 1991, Goldman Sachs, through the <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Principal<br />
Investment Area (REPIA), has raised approximately $11.6 billion of equity in<br />
nine funds, including its latest fund, Whitehall 2001, with committed capital of<br />
$2.3 billion. Goldman Sachs has committed approximately $2.2 billion to the<br />
Whitehall Funds since inception with nearly $400 million committed to Whitehall<br />
2001.<br />
Since inception, The Whitehall Funds have made investments of approximately<br />
$67 billion in total cost across 20 countries including the U.S., Canada,<br />
U.K., France, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Hong Kong and<br />
Thailand.<br />
REPIA is a team of dedicated Goldman Sachs professionals, with the business<br />
experience and the local market knowledge required to identify and understand<br />
opportunities and to structure complex transactions. REPIA has approximately<br />
95 employees worldwide, located in New York, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan,<br />
Dallas and Tokyo.<br />
Archon Group, L.P., a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, provides<br />
the infrastructure and resources necessary for global asset management for<br />
the Whitehall Funds. Archon and its affi liates currently manage approximately<br />
17,000 assets worldwide, employing over 1,100 employees in offi ces located in<br />
the US, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Thailand and Korea.
