Markus joined Rheinhyp in 1995 and started his career in the<br />

International Property Lending Department (UK, Netherlands,<br />

Scandinavia). In mid-1997 he took over responsibility setting<br />

up the Central European Property Lending Division. After<br />

opening offices in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, he<br />

managed a team, which concentrates on financing of all<br />

types of large commercial properties (Retail, Offices, Hotels<br />

& Distribution Warehouses) in the region. In 2001 he was<br />

managing the set-up process of Rheinhyp’s operations in<br />

North America. After EUROHYPO’s merger which took place in<br />

September 2002, he was heading the CEE Property Lending<br />

Division. Since July 2007 he is responsible for EUROHYPO’s<br />

lending business in CEE, Nordic Countries, Netherlands.<br />

George Leslie has been working in European and Asian<br />

emerging markets since 1998. He has extensive real<br />

estate industry experience in the areas of investment and<br />

development consulting, distressed debt and corporate<br />

recovery. Presently, he is Director of Acquisitions in Central<br />

and Eastern Europe and based in Munich for GLL <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong><br />

Partners, a fund management company. He has an Msc in<br />

<strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> from The University of Reading.<br />

Mr. Lieberman is a Managing Director of <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Finance<br />

at UBS Investment Bank (“UBS REF”) and member of the UBS<br />

REF Commitment Committee. Mr. Lieberman has 23 years<br />

of real estate industry experience, in the US, and in Europe,<br />

where he spent the last 12 years of his career and provided<br />

debt and equity capital for European property transactions<br />

totalling in excess of Euro 8billion. Mr. Lieberman’s experience<br />

ranges from international business development, equity<br />

investments, mezzanine debt and senior loan origination<br />

and structuring to asset management and workout of nonperforming<br />

loans and REO portfolios.<br />

Dr Gerard Lyons is Chief Economist and Group Head of <strong>Global</strong><br />

Research at Standard Chartered. He is an expert on the<br />

world economy, international financial system, macro-economic<br />

policy and global markets. Previous positions include Chief<br />

Economist at DKB International and consultant to the Dai-Ichi<br />

Kangyo Bank, Chief UK Economist at Swiss Bank Corporation,<br />

beginning his career with Chase Manhattan.<br />

Charles Mackintosh joined Value Retail in early 1997 and has<br />

responsibility for the co-ordination of its corporate and legal<br />

affairs and banking relationships. He serves on the boards of<br />

Value Retail PLC’s principal subsidiaries in the UK and Europe.<br />

Value Retail is the sponsor and developer of factory outlet<br />

shopping villages in Europe; the portfolio includes Bicester<br />

Village in the UK and works with its US sister company,<br />

Chelsea Property Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Simon Property<br />

Group, Inc. Previously Mr Mackintosh spent twelve years in the<br />

City of London in equity and debt related roles.<br />

Ambar Maheshwari is the Director Investment Advisory for<br />

DTZ India. He has more than thirteen years of experience<br />

in Corporate Finance, Valuations and Investments. Ambar’s<br />

understanding of the strategic objectives of his client’s<br />

business plan, and the importance of integrating it with<br />

the appropriate investment strategy has enabled him to<br />

successfully advise numerous Corporate and Investor Clients<br />

across the globe. His experience ranges from Fund Raising<br />

Advisory (which includes Private Equity Placement Deals and<br />

Debt syndication) to Valuations, Mergers and Acquisitions and<br />

Disinvestment Advisory for his clients in the Infrastructure,<br />

Telecom and <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> industry.
