Pierangelo Maio founded Tecnologie & Spazio in 1992 and<br />

he is currently Chairman of the company, a Milan based<br />

real estate asset management platform. He has been<br />

involved in the major real estate transactions in Italy and in<br />

other European Countries, originating deals and structuring<br />

acquisitions for Merrill Lynch, WestLB, Barclays Capital, Colony<br />

Capital and General Electric. Currently, the business units<br />

are: Project Management, Property Management, Master<br />

Planning, Development, Investment, Advisory , Interior Design<br />

and Agency.<br />

Shuva Mandal, is one of the Partners of Fox Mandal Little<br />

(FML), India’s largest full service law firm. In addition to his<br />

responsibility as Managing Partner South India, he assists<br />

his partners in Mumbai & Pune in Corporate and <strong>Real</strong><br />

<strong>Estate</strong> transactions. He has immense experience in <strong>Real</strong><br />

<strong>Estate</strong> transactions & has been advising clients on Title<br />

Documentation, <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Mutual and Trust Funds, REITs,<br />

Mortgage & Debt Instruments, Special Economic Zones etc.<br />

Mike McNamara is head of RBS’s <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Finance - London<br />

and REF Principal Finance businesses. RBS <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Finance<br />

specialises in providing highly structured funding solutions<br />

for real estate owners, occupiers, investors and developers<br />

on a global scale. We underwrite senior debt, mezzanine and<br />

equity positions in property transactions and seek to blend<br />

opportunities with a variety of development and ownership<br />

groups, from international funds and institutional investors, to<br />

regional and local groups. A Canadian, Ryan worked previously in<br />

corporate development with Ivanhoe Cambridge Caisse de dépôt<br />

et placement du Québec. Ryan has an MBA from INSEAD, and a<br />

B.Comm in Urban Land Economics from The University of British<br />

Columbia. He is also a member of the Urban Land <strong>Institute</strong> and<br />

Karim Merchant is Country Manager, India for The General<br />

Investment & Development Companies (GID). His primary<br />

role includes business development, structuring, legal due<br />

diligence & underwriting for all of GID’s Indian operations.<br />

Outside of India he is also responsible for building GID’s real<br />

estate pipeline in other emerging markets in Asia and Central<br />

Europe. Karim has an undergraduate degree in Business<br />

Management from H.R. College, Mumbai with the Principal‚s<br />

Special Certificate and an MBA in Finance and <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong><br />

from Babson College USA.<br />

Over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, first<br />

as a real estate appraiser handling RTC and FDIC appraisal<br />

assignments and then coming to ING Investment Management<br />

doing loan work outs, asset management and loan analytical<br />

work; then eventually managing a territory as a loan officer.<br />

Currently the head of loan production for all loans originated<br />

in the U.S; B.S. <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>, The Florida State University; MBA<br />

Finance - Kennesaw State University and MBA - University of<br />

Georgia. $2.8 Billion of Originated loans in 2007.
