Welcome Message of Scientific Secretary of
“Seminar of Nuclear Medicine Technology”
Nuclear Medicine has developed and progressed very
rapidly in recent years. Higher sensitivity for detecting
normal as well as pathologic tissues, quantitative
analysis of diagnostic data and lower doses of ionizing
radiation has made it as one of the most important
imaging modalities in the medicine. Improvement of
image quality, fast imaging techniques and early
detection of diseases are unique criteria of nuclear
imaging. The higher the technology, the more need to
update the knowledge and skills. Fortunately, nuclear
medicine technology has established as an academic
course in some universities in Iran in recent years.
Providing a two days seminar for nuclear medicine
technology parallel with international congress of
nuclear medicine is an excellent opportunity to
promotion of knowledge and practice of nuclear
medicine technologist. I hope our technologist
colleagues find the seminar helpful and fruitful.
