split between <strong>the</strong> Mayrellinae and its sister<br />

clade is <strong>the</strong> result <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> breakup <strong>of</strong> Pangaea<br />

into Laurasia and Gondwana in <strong>the</strong> Middle<br />

to Late Jurassic (ca. 180–145 Ma).<br />
