In the present thesis we have used a combined multistage regen/2-pass amplifier Alpha 1000<br />

from Thales Laser system (France). The amplifiers are pumped by second harmonic of JADE<br />

laser which is a Q-switched Nd:YLF at 527nm, with ~300ns. JADE output is ~18W and ~5W<br />

is used in REGEN and ~13W is used in multipass amplifier. The output pulse from<br />

amplification is ~3.5W. The synchronization of Q-switching and Pockels cell is done by<br />

synchronization unit Masterclock. The amplified pulse is fed into the compressor to shorten<br />

the pulse duration back from hundreds of ps to fs time domain.<br />
