pulse-width time scale followed by electron cooling in CdSe core which is greatly affected<br />

by the thickness of ZnTe shell. Our studies suggest that trapping dynamics plays a major role<br />

in the relaxation dynamics of photo-excited charge carriers in both core and core-shell<br />

materials. Traps states influence the overall performance of the devices constructed with<br />

quantum dots and core-shell nanostructure material. Our studies suggest that involvement of<br />

trap states adversely affect the charge carrier dynamics of quantum dot materials which very<br />

important in technological application view point.<br />
