BASIC OPERATION<br />

■ Turning power ON<br />

IMPORTANT: BE SURE to connect the GPS receiver to<br />

the transponder before turning the power ON. (p. 35)<br />

q Hold down [POWER•BRILL] for 1 second to turn ON the<br />

power.<br />

• A long beep sounds, and the opening screen appears.<br />

e After the opening test is completed, the MMSI code appears,<br />

if the code has already been set.<br />

• “No MMSI” appears when no MMSI code is set. (p. 7)<br />

[POWER•BRILL]<br />

w The opening screen displays the results of the ROM, RAM<br />

and backup data test, “OK” or “NG” (No Good).<br />

• If “NG” is displayed, hold down [POWER•BRILL] for 1 second to turn<br />

OFF the power, then ON again to reset the transponder. If there is no<br />

change, contact your dealer or service center.<br />

r The GPS search display appears while searching for a<br />

GPS satellite.<br />

• While searching, the GPS information screen can be displayed<br />

by pushing [ENT], or you can enter the Menu mode by pushing<br />

[MENU]. (pp. 28, 31)<br />
