(2) Department <strong>of</strong> Community and Economic Developmént<br />

(i) Philadelphia County<br />

(A) New sidewalks, benches and other pedestrian<br />

and landscape amenities for the entire length <strong>of</strong><br />

the Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 16th<br />

Street and Eakins Oval 3,000,000<br />

(B) Streetscape and landscape enhancements for<br />

outer park areas in Logan Square 1,000,000<br />

(C) Streetscape improvements along the Benjamin<br />

Franldin Parkway from Logan Square to Eakins<br />

Oval to relocate curb lanes providing additional<br />

bicycle and pedestrian paths 2,000,000<br />

(D) Reconstruct Eakins Oval to improve traffic flow,<br />

create safer pedestrian crossings to Art Museum<br />

and to the new Schuylkill River Park and provide<br />

new recreational and athletic facilities for adjacent<br />

communities 20,000,000<br />

(E) Improvements to Pennsylvania Avenue that will<br />

reduce traffic accidents, provide safer pedestrian<br />

crossings to recreational and cultural facilities and<br />

add new roadway lighting 4,500,000
