Prerequisite: Students must pass a background fingerprint<br />
check through the California Department of Justice at their<br />
own expense. The clearance letter must be provided to the<br />
Coordinator before entrance to the firing range. This<br />
requirement is California State Law.<br />
This course is the basic POST (Police Officer Standards and<br />
Training) certified 24-hour firearms training with qualification<br />
certificate upon completion. Successful completion of this<br />
course will <strong>all</strong>ow the student to enter any enforcement type<br />
vocation, for instance, code inspectors, such as park rangers,<br />
building inspectors, animal control officers, community service<br />
officers, probation officers, security officers, or firefighters<br />
