Register, enforce and / or ensure compliance with regulatory functions relating to food premises, liquor outlets, gaming, animal control and other bylaws and statutes . We provide an efficient and reliable building consent and inspection service. We work with building owners to develop a reliable risk assessment programme for earthquake risks. Resource consents are processed within statutory timeframes. Resource consents are monitored to ensure compliance with consent conditions. Building consents are processed within 20 working days. Code of Compliance Certificates are issued within 20 working days. Percentage of buildings on the WOF register are audited annually. Council's Building Consent Authority accreditation is retained each year. An earthquake risk assessment programme for buildings in the District is developed, with performance measures and targets. 100% Substantially Achieved 35 of 37 (95%) consents issued were within statutory timeframes. 100% Achieved. All consents are monitored. 100% Substantially Achieved. 386 of the 396 (97.5% of applications this quarter were issued within 20 working days. 100% Substantially Achieved. 586 of the 595 (98.5%) certificates issued were within this timeframe. 20% Achieved 234 of the 568 (41 %) buildings with compliance schedules have been audited to date. Retained Achieved accreditation subject to 8 corrective actions being corrected before June 2013. ProgrammeOn Track. developed Initial work on this programme has begun. The review of Council's Earthquake Prone Buildings Policy is on hold, awaiting the outcome of the Government's policy review. 10
l^s- We inspect premises regularly. We respond efficiently to requests for service. We enforce parking times to ensure as many people as possible can access parking spaces, and that the reading network is free of obstructions. Liquor outlets premises are inspected annually. Food outlets are inspected annually. Initial response rate to service requests: . Food safety, within 48 hours . Dog control, within 24 hours . Excessive noise, within 2 hours. Parking time limits are enforced from Monday to Saturday. 100% On Track. 88 of the 150 (59%) liquor outlet inspections have been completed. 100% On Track. 158 inspections of 278 (57%) food outlets have been undertaken to date 100% Not Achieved: Food safety (6 of the 9 food complaints responded to within 48 hours). Achieved: Dog Control (469 out of 469) Excessive Noise (720 out of 720) complaints responded to within specified timeframes. Achieved On Track. 11
