Computer Management Framework Settings<br />

The Computer Management Framework settings allow you to set up and manage preferences for the<br />

following aspects of client management:<br />

Client check-in frequency<br />

Login and logout hooks<br />

User-initiated enrollment process<br />

Self Service application<br />

Application Usage<br />

Security<br />

Check-In Frequency<br />

The check-in frequency allows you to control how often client computers check the JSS for available<br />

policies.<br />

To view or modify the check-in frequency:<br />

1. Log in to the JSS with a web browser.<br />

2. Click the Settings tab.<br />

3. Click the Computer Management Framework Settings link.<br />

4. On the Check-In Frequency pane, choose a check-in frequency from the pop-up menu.<br />

5. Click Save.<br />

Startup Item<br />

Use this pane to create or remove a startup item and set preferences for how you want to use it. The<br />

following options are displayed on this pane:<br />

Create startup item<br />

Creates a launchd item that executes once at startup. The launchd item is stored in the following location:<br />

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.jamfsoftware.startupItem.plist<br />

Log startup action<br />

Logs the startup action and IP address of each client computer at reboot<br />
