Editing Computer Records The <strong>JAMF</strong> <strong>Software</strong> Server (JSS) allows you to edit the following information: • General information, including the management account MAC address(es) Location information Purchasing information Non-script extension attributes To edit a computer record: 1. Log in to the JSS with a web browser. 2. Click the Inventory tab. 3. Perform a simple or advanced computer search. 4. Click Details across from the computer record you want to edit. 5. Click the category you want to edit in the categories list. The following categories contain editable information: Computer Information Hardware • Location Purchasing Extension Attributes • 6. Click the Ellipsis button to display the editable fields. 242
7. Add or modify information as needed. If you are editing location or purchasing information, click the Search icon to perform an LDAP or GSX lookup. This populates the fields with information from an LDAP server or Apple’s Global Service Exchange (GSX). Note: The lookup feature is only available if an LDAP server and/or GSX connection is set up in the JSS.
