Mayor Weber called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
2. DECLARATION OF PECUNIARY OR CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Mayor Weber asked members of Council to declare any pecuniary or conflict of interest
that they may have with items on the agenda and none were declared.

– Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office – Re: Fire Service Delivery & General
Information on Best Practices for Structure of a Fire Board & Fire
Department
As requested by Council, representatives from the Office of the Fire Marshal were in
attendance to provide information on fire service delivery and general information on
best practices for the structure of a Fire Board and Fire Department.
Mr. Gannon provided details on municipal governance, due diligence and risk
management, establishing a fire department, municipal responsibilities under the Fire
Protection and Prevention Act, the responsibilities and role of the Fire Chief and
municipal fire agreements.
