HOMELESS SERVICES<br />
Description: Shadow Home is a 9 month residential, faith based program designed to<br />
help women become better parents, employees, and citizens. Shadow Home provides<br />
lodging, meals, clothing, laundry, biblical guidance, etc.<br />
Agency Mission: To provide a shelter for homeless, abandoned, or abused women and<br />
their children where they will have the opportunity to break the cycles of hopelessness<br />
and dependencies through spiritually based teaching and care, effecting permanent<br />
change in their lives, and leading to the development of positive character and life skills.<br />
Eligibility: Women and their children (ages 9 and under). Women will be expected to<br />
follow set guidelines and assist with household duties during their stay.<br />
Documents Needed: Photo ID, birth certificate, social security card<br />
Referral Procedures: Application/interview. 24 hour wait after interview before<br />
admittance.<br />

Services<br />
Emergency/Transitional Housing Program<br />
Description: The Emergency Housing Program serves homeless families with complex<br />
problems such as addictions, abusive relationships and poor life skills. Housing is<br />
provided in one of Shelter Care's 14 apartments for a maximum of 120 days. Case<br />
managers work with families to develop weekly goals in employment, education, child<br />
services and housing to ensure transition into a more stable lifestyle.<br />
The Transitional Housing Program is an extension of the Emergency Housing Program for<br />
families that have long term needs. Housing is provided in one of 6 apartments for a<br />
maximum of 2 years, however the average stay is 7-9 months. These families continue to<br />
