Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System<br />

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES<br />

Description: Streamwood provides children and adolescents with a continuum of<br />

services including: Inpatient Stabilization, Day Treatment, Outpatient Assessment and<br />

Treatment, Residential Care, Therapeutic Day School and Behavioral Management<br />

Specialty Assessment.<br />

Treatment is individualized. Their team approach helps strengthen individual’s social<br />

skills and interpersonal relationships by utilizing their existing emotional, behavioral and<br />

social resources in conjunction with environmental resources at home and school.<br />

Behavioral management techniques are a key treatment component. Positive<br />

reinforcements help build self-esteem and increase healthy behaviors while addressing<br />

limit setting and self-discipline.<br />

Referral Procedures: Individuals can walk into the facility without an appointment and<br />

still receive an immediate assessment or they can schedule it on the phone with the staff<br />

person they are speaking with.<br />

Description: Section 42 housing for couples, familes, seniors and people with<br />

disabilities. Plans include mini blinds and washer dryer connections. All units pre wired<br />

for cable, internet and phone. Private street in a quiet residential setting with parking at<br />

residences. Adjacent to public golf course, recreational/aquatic center park and walking<br />

trail. Transportation and shopping nearby.<br />
