OfficeMate 10.5 Enhancements Products Products The Products window includes the following new features: • The VSP Product tab has been removed because frame shapes are no longer required. • Ability to manually select a CPT/HCPCS code for ophthalmic lenses in the Product Details tab and start using the lens immediately without having to first set up attributes and use the Lens Product Loader. In OfficeMate v9/v10, you had to set up attributes in the Third Party Setup window in order for CPT/HCPC codes to be set up correctly and then use the Lens Product Loader. Without the Lens Product Loader, you could not easily update the base CPT code when needed. NOTES • Eyefinity highly recommends that you use the Lens Product Loader to ensure accurate mapping of your lenses. • If you have already used Lens Product Loader to load and map your lenses, you cannot manually select a CPT/HCPCS code in the Product Details tab. To manually select a CPT/HCPCS code for an ophthalmic lens, click the Products icon, select Products and Services, select an ophthalmic lens, click the Product Details tab, and then select a code from the Prod. OfficeMate 10.5 Enhancements Lens Product Loader Lens Product Loader The Lens Product Loader window in OfficeMate Administration includes the following new features: • Ability to inactivate all of your current lens-related products prior to using the Lens Product Loader to load new products so that you do not have duplicate products. NOTE This feature is only available if you have never used the Lens Product Loader and are using it for the first time. While Eyefinity recommends that you deactivate your existing products, you may need to reactivate some products if you have any fee slips that are open. To inactivate all of your current lens-related products, click Tasks from the OfficeMate Administration main window, select Lens Product Loader, and click Yes on the Lens Database Maintenance window. • Ability to load IOF lenses from VSP into your products database. All IOF lenses loaded using the Lens Product Loader contain the prefix, “VSP IOF Lens,” in the text that prints on fee slips. OfficeMate 10.5 Enhancements 17
