OfficeMate 10.5 Enhancements Preferences • Ability to set up a preference on the Lab Orders tab (Validate Promise Date) that requires and prompts users for a promise date. Previously, you had to select a promise date even if you were not sending an Rx order to a lab. If the selection for this preference is Yes, you are required and prompted to record a promise date if one is not entered when you record the Rx order. (A promise date is required if you maintain perpetual inventory.) If the selection for this preference is No, you are not required or prompted to record a promise date, however, you can still record one. NOTE If you are upgrading from OfficeMate v8 or below or OfficeMate Enterprise v1, the default selection for this preference is No. If you are upgrading from OfficeMate Enterprise v2 or OfficeMate v9 and above, the default selection for this preference is Yes so that inventory is not impacted. • Ability to set up a preference on the Lab Orders tab (Validate lab (Order Lens From) for a lab order) that requires and prompts users for a lab. OfficeMate 10.5 Enhancements ExamWRITER Preferences • The following Lab Orders tab default preferences have changed for users upgrading from OfficeMate v8 or below: Allow lab order to be printed if not billed is Yes. Allow lab order edits after fee slip has been billed is Yes. Allow Eyewear Orders without Frame Details is Yes. Validate lab (Order Lens From) for a lab order is No. ExamWRITER Preferences The ExamWRITER Preferences window includes the following new feature: Ability to set up a preference on the ExamWRITER Preferences window General tab (Number of Exams to Display) and choose how many exams to display in the Exam History drop-down menu on the ExamWRITER chart OfficeMate 10.5 Enhancements 33
