g. Home industries;<br />
h. Bed and breakfast establishments;<br />
i. Farm vacation homes;<br />
j. Low-intensity recreational uses;<br />
k. Unserviced parks;<br />
l. Agriculture-related uses; and<br />
m. Uses accessory to the uses set out in policy 4.10.7.1.1 (a) through (l) <strong>of</strong><br />
this <strong>Plan</strong>.<br />

4.10.8 PARKWAY BELT WEST<br />
The Parkway Belt West designation includes lands within <strong>Richmond</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> that<br />
are subject to and governed by the Provincial Parkway Belt West <strong>Plan</strong>, July<br />
1978, as amended.<br />
It is the policy <strong>of</strong> Council that:<br />
1. The permitted uses within the Parkway Belt West designation shown on<br />
Schedule A2 (Land Use) <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Plan</strong> shall be governed by the Parkway Belt<br />
West <strong>Plan</strong>, as amended from time to time.<br />
2. Where lands are removed by the Province from the Parkway Belt West<br />
<strong>Plan</strong>, it is the intent <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Plan</strong> that such lands which contain key natural<br />
heritage features or key hydrological features and their functions or that<br />
provide connections between or within the <strong>Town</strong>’s Greenway System and<br />
the Regional Greenlands System shall remain within the Greenway System<br />
in either a Natural Core or Natural Linkage designation.<br />
3. Where lands are removed by the Province from the Parkway Belt West <strong>Plan</strong>,<br />
proponents <strong>of</strong> development shall be required to submit an <strong>Official</strong> <strong>Plan</strong><br />
Amendment which demonstrates to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Town</strong> that:<br />
a. Adequate demand and need exists for the proposed land uses in<br />
relation to the land use permissions outlined in this <strong>Plan</strong>;<br />
b. The proposed development is compatible with the surrounding area;<br />
c. Key natural heritage features or key hydrological features and their<br />
functions have been protected and enhanced; and<br />
d. The proposed development enhances the ecological integrity <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Regional Greenlands System and the <strong>Town</strong>’s Greenway System.<br />
4.10.9 MAJOR URBAN OPEN SPACE<br />
The urban open space system includes a network <strong>of</strong> parks, stormwater<br />
management ponds, cemeteries and urban linkages such as walkways, trails,<br />
utility corridors and boulevards. The Major Urban Open Space designation<br />
