<strong>National</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Open</strong> <strong>Schooling</strong><br />
In order to make this Ni-On Project successful and<br />
learner friendly four streams <strong>of</strong> Online admissions<br />
were introduced keeping in mind the different<br />
requirements <strong>of</strong> the learners. <strong>The</strong> admissions in<br />
different Streams <strong>of</strong> Online are mutually exclusive and<br />
the learners can only opt one <strong>of</strong> them.<br />
In addition to the existing practice <strong>of</strong> admissions<br />
through Accredited Institutions (AIs) was continued,<br />
now rechristened as ‘Off-line admissions’ are in<br />
practice.<br />
Enrolment in Academic courses in<br />
<strong>2009</strong>-<strong>10</strong><br />
<strong>The</strong> State/ Union Territory wise enrolment at<br />
Secondary and Senior Secondary level is<br />
shown in the Table 12.1 and Region-wise<br />
Enrolment in academic courses is shown in the Table<br />
