10.8 Current Transformer Metering − 600 Volts, 800 Amps Maximum<br />
Current transformer (CT) metering is required for all services between 201 and 800 amperes,<br />
except single-phase services of 120/240 volts under 400 amperes, which shall be metered<br />
according to Section 10.4.<br />
Switchboard metering (see Section 10.14) is required for services over 800 amperes and may also<br />
be used for smaller loads.<br />
Two types of CT mounting configurations are approved by the <strong>Power</strong> Company:<br />
(a) Current Transformer Metering, Post-Mounted.<br />
(b) Current Transformer Metering, Wall-Mounted<br />

The CT cabinet and meter shall be mounted outside the building as approved by the <strong>Power</strong><br />
Company. The meter shall not be mounted on the hinged side of a single-door CT cabinet.<br />
Where metering equipment is installed in a location susceptible to being struck by a vehicle, the<br />
customer shall install and maintain barrier posts approved by the <strong>Power</strong> Company (see Section<br />
9.9).<br />
This manual shall be distributed and interpreted in its entirety. Individual pages will not represent all the requirements necessary for an installation.<br />
