Limitations on the duration of copyright<br />

Article 58<br />

Effect of the lapse of time<br />

On the expiration of the terms of protection of copyright, as set forth in this Section, the work<br />

ceases to enjoy copyright protection.<br />

Article 59<br />

General provision<br />

The copyright shall run for the life of the author and for 70 years after his death, unless<br />

otherwise provided by this Act.<br />

Article 60<br />

Co-authors<br />

If the work was created by a number of authors, the term of protection mentioned in the<br />

foregoing Article, shall be calculated from the death of the last surviving co-author.<br />

Article 61<br />

Anonymous and pseudonymous works<br />

(1) Copyright in anonymous and pseudonymous works shall run for 70 years after the lawful<br />

disclosure of the work.<br />

(2) When the pseudonym leaves no doubt as to the identity of the author, or if the author<br />

discloses his identity during the period referred to in the foregoing paragraph, the term of<br />

protection shall be that laid down in Article 59 of this Act.<br />

Article 62<br />

Collective works<br />

In case of collective works, the copyright shall run for 70 years after the lawful disclosure of<br />

the work.<br />

Article 63<br />

Special term for certain undisclosed works<br />

When the term of protection under this Act does not run from the death of the author or<br />

authors, and the work was not lawfully disclosed within 70 years from its creation, the<br />

copyright shall terminate with the expiration of this term.
