General provisions<br />
Article 142*<br />
Author and agent<br />
The author may personally manage his author's rights, or he can do so through an agent.<br />
Article 143*<br />
Individual and collective management of rights<br />
Authors' rights may be managed singly (individually), that is separately for each copyright<br />
work; or, when this Act so provides, they may be managed jointly (collectively), that is for a<br />
number of works of several authors at the same time.<br />
Article 144 *<br />
Scope of agency<br />
(1) Management of authors' rights through an agent includes:<br />
1. representing authors in their legal transactions and relations with persons who use or<br />
<strong>com</strong>mission their works, including collection of royalties or other remunerations;<br />
2. representing authors in legal proceedings before courts or other bodies, for the purpose of<br />
protecting their authors' rights.<br />
(2) When an author enforces his rights before a court or another State body through an agent,<br />
who is a natural or legal person, such agent is entitled to claim a fee for his services and<br />
reimbursement of expenses incurred in connection with these services according to the<br />
agent’s schedule of fees, provided that he fulfils the conditions for the representation before<br />
courts or other State bodies or, where the agent is a legal person, that an authorized<br />
employee of such agent fulfils those conditions. Agent's schedule of fees is adopted by the<br />
agent or an association of agents, and approved by the Minister of Justice.<br />

Related rights<br />
Provisions of this Chapter relating to copyright, shall apply mutatis mutandis to related rights.
