Rights of publishers<br />
Article 139<br />
Right to remuneration<br />
(1) Publishers shall have the right to remuneration for reproduction for private or other internal<br />
use, according to Article 37 (3) of this Act.<br />
(2) The right mentioned in the foregoing paragraph shall run for 50 years from the lawful<br />
publication of the work.<br />
Article 140<br />
Unpublished works in public domain<br />
(1) A person who for the first time lawfully publishes or <strong>com</strong>municates to the public a<br />
previously unpublished work in which the copyright has expired, shall enjoy the legal<br />
protection equal to that granted by economic rights and other rights of the author under this<br />
Act.<br />
(2) The rights mentioned in the foregoing paragraph shall run for 25 years from the date of the<br />
first lawful publication or <strong>com</strong>munication to the public of the work.<br />
Article 141<br />
Critical and scientific editions of works in public domain<br />
(1) A person who prepares the edition of a work in which the copyright has expired, which is<br />
the result of a scientific endeavours and which is essentially different form known editions of<br />
this work, shall enjoy the legal protection equal to that granted by economic rights and other<br />
rights of the author under this Act.<br />
(2) The rights mentioned in the foregoing paragraph shall run for 30 years from the date of the<br />
first lawful publication of the work.<br />

Rights of makers of databases<br />
Article 141a<br />
Databases<br />
(1) A database shall mean a collection of independent works, data or other materials in any<br />
form, arranged in a systematic or methodical way and individually accessible by electronic or<br />
other means, whereby either the obtaining, verification or presentation of its contents<br />
demands a qualitatively or quantitatively substantial investment.
