Honda TRX 450R race quad
KIK SOME ASS!
Occasionally, you get to ride something really special
and rarely is it something taken straight out of the box.
Many hours and much experience, not to mention expense,
often go into such creations. When such a beast is encountered
the temptation is to dive into an adjective frenzy in a puerile
attempt to convey the experience to you, the reader.
In this case it is a full-on, Honda
factory supported, race quad, from
the HM plant backed, KIK team.
After a few minutes in (or rather
half out of) the saddle, all I can say
is “Wow! This mother is fast.” Not
much of an adjective I know, but
it’s there all the same.
Not only incredibly rapid but rock
steady and stable, striding with ease and
control over the rough stuff as if it wasn’t
there. It is like being in a surreal dream
world, where bumps and hollows that
normally impact and interrupt a quad’s
trajectory, simply do not exist. If you’ve
ever ridden a quad then you’ll understand
the fun to be had. Even the cheapest, low
capacity, four-wheeled machine will have
you grinning from ear to ear within
minutes. Imagine then, the experience of
riding this machine. The difference is like
getting out of a 10-year-old MoT failure
Ford Fiesta and getting into a F1 car.
Every part of this superb machine is
there, with one purpose in mind – to
propel you around a track as fast as you
dare go. The only limits are yours; the bike
possesses none (certainly none that the
average human is capable of tapping
