Maintenance<br />

Check Rear Brake Fluid Level<br />

1. To check the rear brake fluid level, remove the right<br />

side cover. Straddle the motorcycle and bring it to a<br />

vertical position.<br />

2. View the brake fluid through the reservoir. The fluid<br />

should be clear and at a level between MIN and MAX.<br />

Add brake fluid if necessary.<br />

Add Rear Brake Fluid<br />

1. Bring the motorcycle to a vertical position with an<br />

appropriate motorcycle lift or a block of wood or steel<br />

placed securely under the frame.<br />

2. Remove the right side cover.<br />

3. Wipe the area around the reservoir cover with a clean cloth.<br />

4. Wipe the brake fluid container with a clean cloth.<br />

5. Remove the reservoir cover and gasket.<br />

Caution<br />

Brake fluid attacks painted surfaces and plastic parts. Always clean spilled brake fluid immediately with<br />

plenty of water and a mild detergent.<br />
