Maintenance<br />
Adjust Headlamp<br />
The headlamp should shine straight ahead of<br />
the motorcycle. The top of the headlamp High<br />
beam should be just below the center of the<br />
lamp at a distance of 25 feet (7.62 m).<br />
1. Check and adjust the tire pressure and<br />
rear shock absorber.<br />
2. Straddle the motorcycle in an upright<br />
position and sit in the operator’s seat.<br />
3. Set the ignition switch to the On<br />
position and set the headlamp to High<br />
beam. Check the headlamp for correct<br />
aim.<br />
4. To adjust the headlamp, remove the headlamp bezel to<br />
expose the adjusting screws. Turn the desired adjusting<br />
screw clockwise one revolution, and turn the screw<br />
directly across the headlamp counterclockwise one<br />
revolution. Repeat if necessary, one revolution at a<br />
time.<br />
5. Reinstall the headlamp bezel.<br />
