PRE-ACTION CONTROL SYSTEMS
9) The equipment must be installed, operated and maintained as prescribed in Angus Fire Ltd. installation, operating and
maintenance manual.
10) The pre-action system shall be configured in accordance with Angus specification numbers, PA1/100 and PA1/150 for the 100mm
and 150mm versions respectively.
11) The Pre-Action systems shall comply with the details specified in LPC Technical Bulletin 21 Supplementary requirements for sprinkler
installations which can operate in the dry mode.
12) Angus Fire, Denmark, is responsible for the complete pre-action system.

Approval Conditions:
1) The above pre-action system employs duplicate solenoid valves, which are manufactured by firms, as detailed below. One of each
shall be used.
2) Solenoid valves shall be installed in parallel.
3) Solenoid valves shall function in pneumatic condition only, and be protected by a strainer.
4) LPCB Certificated detectors compatible with the control and indicating equipment shall be used.
5) Suitable electrical detection control and indicating equipment and pneumatic systems which are compatible with the equipment
identified above shall be used. The control and indicating equipment should be LPCB approved/certificated.
6) Connecting cables shall comply with BS 6387: 1994, classification C, W, Z evidenced by LPCB certification.
7) The system shall be electrically monitored to demonstrate that it is in a ‘ready-to-operate’ state at all times.
8) Clean dry air shall be used.
9) The equipment must be installed, operated and maintained as prescribed in The Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co Inc installation,
operating and maintenance manuals “Bulletin 717 revision C” and “Bulletin 739 revision A”.
11) The pre-action systems shall comply with the details specified in LPC Rules for Automatic sprinkler systems Technical Bulletin 21 or
208 Supplementary Requirements for sprinkler installations which can operate in the dry mode and in the LPC Rules for Automatic
Sprinkler Installations.
12) The Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company Inc are the firm responsible for the complete pre-action station, including electrics. It
should be noted that only the equipment specifically referenced above is LPCB approved.
