6) The suitability of ‘quick response’ sprinklers for many risks is not yet proven. Use is therefore limited to where the purchaser authority
having jurisdiction and/or insurers consent to its use. Quick response sprinklers must be handled with care due to the fragile nature of
the operating element, with packaging and instructions being marked accordingly.
7) Every five years, all sprinklers should be visually examined, and representative samples removed and tested to the requirements of
the authority and/or insurer.
