SYSTEMS<br />
INTRODUCTION<br />
The st<strong>and</strong>ards used by LPCB for approving <strong>and</strong> listing <strong>sprinkler</strong> system components have been developed to<br />
ensure that they are suitable for use in <strong>systems</strong> installed to the LPC Sprinkler Rules incorporating EN 12845.<br />
Many of these components may also be suitable for use in <strong>systems</strong> designed in accordance with other<br />
international <strong>and</strong> national codes such as NFPA.<br />
To ensure that the <strong>systems</strong> work, it is recommended that they are designed, installed, commissioned <strong>and</strong><br />
maintained by contractors who are approved by LPCB to LPS 1048 (for commercial <strong>systems</strong>) or LPS 1301<br />
(for residential or domestic <strong>systems</strong>).<br />

of automatic <strong>sprinkler</strong> <strong>systems</strong> (overseas)<br />
LPS 1301: Requirements for the approval of <strong>sprinkler</strong> installers in the UK <strong>and</strong> Irel<strong>and</strong> for residential<br />
<strong>and</strong> domestic <strong>sprinkler</strong> <strong>systems</strong>.<br />
