(3) progress towards standardization in the sector.<br />
7. Once local issues negotiations have been successfully concluded, or when a decision has been<br />
issued by the Arbitrator, local issues agreements, including all issues automatically renewed, will<br />
remain in effect for the term of the <strong>Collective</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT #2<br />
Re: Superior Benefits and Provisions<br />
between<br />
<strong>Community</strong> Social <strong>Services</strong> Employers' Association (CSSEA)<br />
and<br />
<strong>Community</strong> Social <strong>Services</strong> Bargaining Association (CSSBA)<br />
The parties agree that the following existing superior provisions contained in previous <strong>Collective</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>s,<br />
memoranda and other attachments, will be maintained as outlined in the March 23, 2000 joint newsletter.<br />
The existing superior provisions referenced in the March 23, 2000 joint newsletter are limited to:<br />
1. Meal Allowance<br />
2. Vehicle Allowance<br />
3. Statutory Holidays<br />
4. On Call<br />
5. Pay In Lieu of Benefits<br />
6. Compassionate Leave<br />
7. Sick Leave Payout<br />
8. Shift Premiums<br />
9. Callback<br />
10. Required Certifications<br />
11. Vacation<br />
The parties further agree that the following existing superior provisions will be maintained as outlined in<br />
previous <strong>Collective</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>s that contain such a provision:<br />
1. Long Service Retirement Allowance<br />
2. Article 23 – Special Days from Southern Okanagan Association for Integrated <strong>Community</strong><br />
<strong>Living</strong><br />
3. Cell Phone and Pager Reimbursement<br />
4. Seasonal Closure<br />
5. Qualification Differential<br />
The existing superior provisions listed above will apply to those employees who are on record as of<br />
April 1, 2004.<br />
Article 27 (Health and Welfare Benefits) and Article 20.2 (Special Leave) will be standardized and the<br />
following will apply for transitional purposes:<br />
(a) Eligible costs related to superior health and welfare benefits provided in Article 27 (Health and<br />
Welfare Benefits) incurred prior to April 1, 2004 will be reimbursed in accordance with the provisions<br />
of the health and welfare benefits plans in the previous <strong>Collective</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>.
