Shakespeare’s early career in its historical context. Church drama and the morality play are discussed as the tradition from which Renaissance theater developed. Laboratory work emphasizing a presentation of methods of research assessing human attention, memory, and problem-solving processes. Psychology as applied to business and industry. Major areas of industrial psychology: selection, placement, and training procedures; human factors research. Industrial social psychology: motivational and organizational research and theory. Lect. 3 hrs. 3 hours credit PSY3323 ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY Prerequisite: PSY1213. Major concepts, theories, and empirical research related to organizational psychology. Includes: work motivation, leadership, decision making, and job satisfaction as well as more recent trends such as cultural diversity, work teams, workfamily, and quality issues.
