Rajiv Srivastava is the General
Manager of LS2 Corporation, an
end-to-end information solutions
provider. Srivastava is in charge of the
IT distribution subsidiary, LS2 Derinton
LLC, and is responsible for the company’s
strategy and business development across
the region. He has had more than 24 years of
experience in sales, marketing, and product
& retail management.
With operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and
Muscat and an annual turnover of over AED170
million, LS2 Corporation is one of the fastest
growing IT companies in the region.
Prior to his appointment at LS2
Corporation, Srivastava was with Al Abbas
Group handling their Hyundai Electronics
business and Jumbo Electronics Ltd as
their Senior Manager and Head of the
Department Agencies.
A man of few words, but tons of experience,
Rajiv Srivastava shares his views about the
IT industry, the challenges and success
strategies of working in the Gulf and the
importance of finding the right people with
right values and attitudes.
TII: What do you enjoy about this
industry?
It is the vibrancy of the technological
industry; the rapid changes and discovery of
the innovative products that keep me excited.
TII: What kind of challenges have you
encountered at work? Give an example of
Rajiv Srivastava with his wife, Renu who is an IT professional and works for an Investment Banking company
at DIFC as an Operations Head and their son Rohan
when you have worked under pressure.
Some of the work pressures include, finding
the right profile of people for the job;
managing product and channel mix in this
trade where the products and technology
are dynamic; and the high volume but very
thin bottom line.
In one of my previous assignments, we
had pressure on the bottom line. It took
me a couple of months to turn the situation
around and to make the bottom line
positive. I achieved this by correcting the
