1. The Director <strong>of</strong> Regeneration & Environment – Implementation left the Council1 on 12 May <strong>2011</strong>, therefore, the<br />

remuneration shown in the table above is substantially lower than the annualised amount would have been.<br />

2. The Director <strong>of</strong> Culture, Leisure & Sport was made redundant on 31 March <strong>2011</strong>, therefore, the table above only shows the<br />

redundancy payment made during <strong>2011</strong>/12.<br />

3. The Director <strong>of</strong> Education left the Council on 29 February <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

4. Regenerate Pennine Lancashire is a third party economic development company. The Council pays the salaries <strong>of</strong> the<br />

employees, including the Managing Director.<br />

5. For the post <strong>of</strong> Deputy Chief Executive, 20% <strong>of</strong> the salary costs have been charged to the Care Trust Plus<br />

6. For the post <strong>of</strong> Chief Executive, 50% <strong>of</strong> the salary costs have been charged to the Care Trust Plus.<br />
