Actions deriving from the review • The results of the review were summarised in a report by the NHS CEO Sir David Nicholson titled “Innovation Health and Wealth – Accelerating Adaption and Diffusion in the NHS” • This report provides a detailed conclusion of the review on behalf of the NHS. • It also describes in detail the actions the NHS aims to undertake in order to facilitate innovation in the NHS. • The report was published in early 2012 and most actions had a timeline of up to 9 months. • Many of the actions have already been implemented or are planned to be implemented by 2014. ‣ The following slides provide a summary of the actions implemented by the NHS or the government in reaction to the review: 173
