– This happens by conduct<strong>in</strong>g a selective policy regard<strong>in</strong>g the admission of new<br />

medic<strong>in</strong>es<br />

– Insurance companies must not necessarily <strong>in</strong>clude the compensation of all new<br />

medic<strong>in</strong>es <strong>in</strong> their packages<br />

– The m<strong>in</strong>ister decides which new medic<strong>in</strong>es are admitted <strong>in</strong> the <strong>in</strong>surance packages<br />

• Least expensive variant compensated<br />

– When there is a choice of several medic<strong>in</strong>es of equal efficacy, mostly only the costs of<br />
