AG
Design Engineer: Woolpert
Contractor: TLC Diversified
Rehab of LS-9 (Hart Ave), LS-14 (IHOP), LS-
25B (Osceola Parkway), LS-42P (Country
Club), LS-65P (Marigold), and LS-67P
(Laurel Ave): These stations have been in
service for 20+ years and are located in
areas that are built out. With the exception of
LS-65P which will receive dry-well painting,
new discharge piping, and new electrical &
instrumentation components, all stations
require new pipes and pumps, above ground
piping, and wet well rehab and coating in
order to meet TWA's current design
standards.
The pre-construction meeting
is scheduled for 7/25/12.
The construction contract was
awarded to TLC Diversified
and the Notice of Award
documents were distributed.
The engineering
design contract is
$227,804 and the
construction contract
is $1.14 million.
The construction phase
began July 2012 and
has a construction
duration of 12 months.
BVL Lift Station
(LS) 21 and
Force Main
project
Engineer: Woolpert Inc.
Contractor: Strickler Brothers, Inc.
BVL lift station (LS) 17 receives flow from LS
21 and LS 22. LS 17 is site restricted and
cannot be expanded to bring the station up to
TWA Standards. The project will upsize LS
21 and construct approximately 9,500 LF of
new 12" force main to direct the flow to BVL
master lift station instead of pumping to LS
17 to eliminate the need to expand LS 17.
Force main construction is
65% completed. Lift station
21B rehab construction has
not been initiated.
6,100 LF of force main has
been constructed.
$136,755
(engineering cost)
LS 21 and force
main: $988,655
(awarded to Strickler
Brothers)
The
project
construction is
scheduled
to
substantially complete
in November, 2012.
LZ
LS 21B replacement and force main
extension has been awarded to Strickler
Brothers, Inc. The LS 17B rehab will be
added to In-house lift station rehabilitation
pilot program.
Pleasant Hill
Road Water
Main Extension
Design Engineer: Barnes, Ferland &
Associates
Contractor: To Be Determined
The project consists of the extension of
approximately 2,700 lineal feet of 16” water
main along Pleasant Hill Road from Reaves
Road to Grasmere View Parkway. Interconnections
with existing water mains at
Fountainbleu Blvd and Oak Pointe Blvd are
also proposed.
The water permit for this
project is still pending from
the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection
(FDEP). FDEP has
requested additional
information to complete their
review of the permit
application.
Staff will compile the
The Notice of Award package
previously sent to Wright’s
Excavating has been returned
to staff. Staff to review the
package for completion the
week of 7/23/12.
$593,716 (Low Bid
Amount)
Construction initiation is
scheduled for August
2012.
