Major Project Summaries 07.25.12 Project Project Status Progress from Cost Schedule Name Description Previous Report Estimate the Buenaventura Lakes WTP; and part of an overall improvement to the Parkway WTP distribution system to serve the Springlake Village service area. EM The force main upsizing is necessary to serve the peak demands of the existing homes in the area. The existing force main and pump station system was constructed prior to the Authority purchasing the BVL utility system and is undersized for the peak flow condition. SB WRF Lab Expansion AG Architect: KZF Design Contractor: Welbro-Quinn Constructors The project will expand the existing laboratory building at the South Bermuda WRF 2,000 square feet to include a receiving and storage room, offices, conference and support spaces, additional parking, and minimal landscaping. The existing lab building was designed for 3 people and there are currently 6 employees working there. A trailer is being leased to accommodate the required office space and support areas. The expansion of Toho’s service areas and the increased FDEP testing requirements necessitates additional space for equipment. Construction is substantially complete. The contractor has completed the floor tile installation and the millwork, poured the concrete parking lot and walkway, and painted the exterior of the building. $583,000 (Construction Contract) Construction began March 2012 and will be substantially complete by July 2012. Poinciana Blvd Ph 3 Engineer: Infrastructure Engineers. CMAR: Manhattan Construction Utility Subcontractor: TBD. This project consists of installing utility improvements along Poinciana Blvd between Oren Brown Road and Cumbrian Lakes Drive in conjunction with the County’s Right-of-Way improvement project. The project includes construction of approximately 1,000 LF of 8” and 12” water main and 9,400 LF of 20” water main. Also included are multiple locations where the existing 20” reuse main is to be diverted to The final project design has been revised based on FDEP, TWA, and CMAR comments. FDEP has issued the water permit. $187,596 (Engineering, Survey, SUE, & Geotech Services) $1.5M (Estimated Construction Cost) Interlocal Agreement executed March 2012. Design finalized July 2012. FDEP permit issued July 2012. Utility work expected to be bid July 2012, dependent on CMAR schedule. Substantial Completion 10
