Project Description:
The Poinciana’s WWTP#3 collection system
basin was surveyed to identify all buried and
below grade manholes. These manholes
contribute to the Inflow problem in this area
and complicate assessment and operational
maintenance activities. This project will 1)
raise all manholes greater than 8” below
grade and 2) raise all manholes located in
swales or other areas prone to flooding.
Manholes located in the WWTP#2 collection
systems meeting the same criteria as above
are included in this scope.
Consultant/Contractors:
Bid specification for manhole repairs is being
developed by Engineering Technologies
(ET).
Project Description:
Complete rehab and repairs to specified
areas of the gravity sewer collection system.
1. Four high priority areas identified by Field
Services (S. Poinciana & Mercantile,
Lakeside & Boggy Creek, N Old Lake
Wilson & 192, and Formosa Gardens &
192). Repair infiltration and line 67
manholes.
2. The 2010 collection system condition
assessments identified the following for
rehab:
Repair infiltration sources in
manholes (171 manholes)
Rehab or replace manholes with
surface corrosion significant enough
to affect structural integrity (27
All construction activities
including: raising manholes
to grade (224), leak
stoppage (27) and lining
manholes (23) have been
completed.
Final pay application
processed.
Project closed out.
Field inspections completed
by ET on the four areas
identified by Field Services.
Staff has reviewed and
accepted
ET’s
recommendations.
Asset defect and location
information has been
provided to ET for inclusion
in the bid specification.
Staff has completed an initial
review of the bid
