The Hoagland Blvd. Segment 1 project will
adjust the existing 16" water main and two
existing force mains (6" and 20") to
accommodate the County roadway widening
project from US-192 to 5th street. In addition
to the adjustments, a new 16-inch reuse
main will be constructed. This project is a
cooperative effort between the County and
TWA and the utility work will be constructed
in conjunction with the roadway project.
All water main deflections,
force main, and reuse main
installation have been
completed. The 6" force main
has been removed. The 20"
force main removal is
underway. Utility construction
is approximately 95%
completed.
Reuse main installation has
been completed.
The low bid price for
utility work is
$1,214,249.50.
The project completion
date has been
extended to September
2012 by County due to
the addition of roadway
work. Utility work is
scheduled to be finally
completed by
September 2012.
areas that have reuse infrastructure but are
connected to potable water. Line extension
projects have been identified that will connect
the following developments to TWA’s reuse
system: Country Crossing, VoTech,
Westminster Gardens, and Windward Cay.
The construction contract was
awarded to Wright’s
Excavating and the Notice of
distributed.
The engineering
design contract is
$90,320.00 and the
Turnpike Water
Main Crossing
Design Engineer: CPH Engineers
Contractor: To Be Determined
The project consists of the extension of
approximately 2,000 lineal feet of 24” water
main directional bored or jack and bored
under the Florida Turnpike. The main will
connect the Toho I system with the newly
constructed Toho III water main on Osceola
Parkway.
The water main extension is required to
provide the prescribed level of service to the
area now served by the offline Springlake
Village WTP; (to eventually be
decommissioned); interconnecting the
Buenaventura Lakes subdivision with the
CPH Engineers has made
several attempts to schedule
a meeting with the Turnpike
Authority to determine their
design requirements for
crossing the Turnpike. Once
these requirements are
known, CPH will finalize the
scope of design services.
CH2M Hill has completed their
hydraulic analysis to
determine the minimum pipe
size required to interconnect
the TOHO I and TOHO III
water systems. The minimum
pipe size required is a 16”
pipe.
Design will be finalized and
constructed in the next dry
season (between December
2012 and May 2013.
