GRAHAM, Frederick Alexander<br />
WWI & WWII<br />
Fred was born in 1893 in Burnside, son of Ned and Cassie (MacKay) Graham. He<br />
served in both WWI and WWII. In WWI, he was a Corporal in the 106 th Battalion<br />
of the <strong>Canadian</strong> Expeditionary Force serving in France and receiving a bullet wound<br />
in his right hand. In WWII, he served in Canada with the Veteran’s Guard and the<br />
<strong>Canadian</strong> Army. He married Emma May Redmond and lived in Middle<br />
Musquodoboit. Fred worked as a carpenter and was also employed by the local<br />
school board. He passed away in 1972.<br />

GRAHAM, Gordon Alexander<br />
WWII<br />
Gordon, son of Luther and Lottie (Gry) of Eastville, was born in 1917, and served<br />
in the Army with the Irish Regiment of Canada, RCIC, Division 15. He was killed<br />
in action on May 23, 1944, and is buried in Cassino War Cemetery in Italy. He was<br />
married to Kathleen (Minnie) Nicholson of PEI.<br />

GRAHAM, James Perley<br />
WWI<br />
Perley was born in 1896 in Burnside, son of Peter Woodbury and Minnie (Johnson)<br />
Graham. He was recruited in 1917. He and his brother Allie were to have gone<br />
overseas together, but Perley contracted mumps, so he was sent later, and the war<br />
ended by the time he got overseas. He married Lelia Frances Fulton, daughter of<br />
Walter and Laura (Crockett) Fulton, and lived in Easthampton, Massachusetts. He<br />
acquired the Wagner Ice Company there and later sold it when electric refrigerators<br />
came in. Perley passed away in 1970.<br />

GRAHAM, John Gilbert<br />
WWII<br />
June, as he was called, son of John David and Ivy (Cox) Graham of Pembroke was<br />
born in 1926, and joined the Army in 1945 training at Aldershot then serving in<br />
Canada. He married Elsie Fader. He worked as a truck driver for Brookfield<br />
Creamery and later for Irving Oil. He passed away in 1995.<br />
