“We Support Those Who Serve”
On behalf of the Province of Nova Scotia I would like to
thank our Nova Scotia military personnel and their families
for the enormous contributions and sacrifices they have
made and continue to make for our great country.
Nova Scotia has always had a strong tradition of supporting
Canada’s military.
This
year
the Navy is celebrating the
250th
anniversary
of
the
founding
of
Her
Majesty’ss
Canadian
(HMC)
Dockyard
in
Halifax.
Since
1759
the Halifax ax
Dockyard
has
helped
to provide a
strong
naval
presence
in
Halifax
harbour,
forging
a
strong
bond
between
Nova Scotia and
the
Navy
that
t
has
lasted
for
250
years.
This
is
a relationship we
value and want to build upon in the future.
The
Province of
Nova Scotia
is
proud
of
the
women
and
men
that
serve
and
have
served
in
the
Forces.
For
this
reason
I
want
to extend our
heartfelt
appreciation
for
the
contributions
that they make
abroad
and
at
home
with
their
families,
in communities throughout
Nova Scotia.
