Application forms for financial aid awarded through the college should be requested from the<br />

Admissions Office of <strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>College</strong>. All undergraduate students needing financial aid are<br />

eligible to apply and are expected to apply for assistance under the PELL Grant. Application<br />

forms for this grant are available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.<br />

Financial assistance for students at <strong>Concordia</strong> is available in three types. One is based upon<br />

achievement, both academic and extra-curricular, and is administered in the form of<br />

scholarships. One is based upon the student's financial need and is administered in the form of<br />

grants and employment opportunities. The other is the Stafford student loan. Students may<br />

apply for assistance from all types. Financial aid questions may be directed to<br />

Scholarships<br />

All <strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>College</strong> scholarships are designed to encourage excellence in performance.<br />

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of superior performance in academic work,<br />

active participation in extra-curricular activities, service to the community, and positive<br />

contributions to all areas of college life. The following is a partial list of scholarships available at<br />

<strong>Concordia</strong>. For more information on scholarships, please contact the Financial Aid Office.<br />

Presidential Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students with the highest academic<br />

achievement. Students receiving this scholarship must have a GPA of 3.9 on a 4.0 scale or be<br />

the high school Valedictorian and have an ACT score of 26, SAT score of 1800. Demonstrated<br />

community service and participation in extra curricular activities is required. The scholarship is<br />

only available to graduating high school seniors and is renewable annually as long as the<br />

recipient maintains a GPA of 3.5. The Presidential Scholarship is an extremely competitive<br />

scholarship and only a limited number are awarded each academic year. The scholarship covers<br />

tuition, books, room and board. Persons interested in this scholarship should contact the<br />
